The architecture of Flow Retail is built to let any system easily blend and integrate with it, both to send any type of relevant data to the platform, such as products and prices, and also to extract any type of data, such as orders and reports.
Every single feature in Flow Retail is available through the REST API, and all new features are first defined as API endpoints and then implemented as functionality in the core.
Rly?! Yep! In our newest V2 API, we have full support for external systems to use their UIDs as the UID in Flow Retail, removing the need for external IDs, which we by the way also support in all data types.
The Flow Retail API is super-fast, basically no matter what query you run. Also, all the various search APIs are heavily optimized to ensure every search query returns an accurate response in milliseconds.
Flow Retail is constantly improving, with new APIs and endpoints being added continuously to support new features, more specific API request needs, and more.
Flow Retail integrates seamlessly with any ERP system. In a typical scenario, the ERP keeps track of all master data, such as products, purchasing, and often inventory.
In this integration, the ERP continuously sends core product data, including SKU, title, brand, cost price, sales price, and eventually stock levels, to Flow Retail. At the same time, the ERP fetches all necessary data, such as sales transactions and customer information.
Flow Retail integrates easily with any eCommerce platform.
In a typical eCommerce integration, the eCommerce system fetches products and inventory to build the catalogue in the webshop. Orders are typically sent back to the POS if they are not shipped directly to the ERP. When using Click & Collect, inventory from each store in Flow Retail is either fetched live via the Flow Retail API, or fetched in batches through one of the endpoints.
Flow Retail must be the most user-friendly POS we have ever experienced. After just a few hours, our store staff are fully operative with the new platform. We are extremely satisfied with Flow Retail.
